You can set personal limits to help you manage your trading. To set them, open the menu in the app, select **Member Protection**, then **Member Limits**.

## Limits you can set

- **Deposit limits:** the total amount you can deposit into your STX account per day, week or month, or over the life of the account.
- **Max trade limits:** the total amount you can have at risk across your account, per order and per market.
- **Loss limits:** the amount you can lose over 24 hours, a week or a month.
- **Time limits:** the number of hours per day you can spend on STX.

When you reach a limit, the related activity is blocked until the limit's period has passed. For example, once you reach a deposit limit, you cannot deposit again until the period ends.

## Changing a limit

As the app explains when you set a limit, you can set a more restrictive limit at any time. After you set a limit, you can only increase it after the associated timeframe has passed.
