# Changing your details

> How to change your password, or update your name, address, email or phone number on your STX account.

Your account details must be accurate and stay current.

- **Password:** tap **Forgot Password** on the login screen and follow the link we email you.
- **Name, address, date of birth, email or phone number:** [contact Customer Support](https://help.stxapp.io/contact/) from the email address on your account and tell us what has changed. Because these details are part of your identity verification, additional verification may be required, and we may ask for a document that shows the new details.

For an entity account, contact Customer Support when ownership information or authorized traders change.

Never send your password to Customer Support. STX staff will never ask for it.
